Hi, I have a o.s. vsb engine and it is hard to turn when piston is at top dead center is this normal for a new engine? I will be at the track for the first time with new gear can someone help?

you can put a hair dryer to it to heat it up. that makes it easier to turn over during break-in
You can also back the glow plug out 1.5 to 2 turns until motor fires then tighten it while engine is running.

Thats a very bad thing for a new motor..give it to me and i will give you one that turns freely at no charge. J/K the hard to turn engine is a good thing. Where it gets hard to turn is called the pinch, thats where you have the most compression. The easier it is to turn the less compression you have, enjoy your new motor!

Make sure you turn the flywheel with a flat head screw driver to get it on the bottom before you try to start it on the box. If it gets caught in the pinch again re try till it starts.
