It is on public property? If someone is paying rent on the property, is it wrong for them to charge an entrance fee? Were you told that it would be free? If it is a maintained track all the time then maybe a monthly fee or yearly could be worked out.

Fees are fine if its relative to the service ,if say while at the track you have electric and comfort features like shaded setup areas and maybe some sort of timing and scoring set just to check lap times and stuff like that then a $10 fee is no problem but if its just a fee to help pay rent on a lot then its should be minimal or you wont have many people showing up there are quite a few places for a no fee play around, tune , and setup your car type tracks. and another thought is make a club, club memberships gotta help costs and if its a quality track start a race day and the revenue should sustain most cost no? Personally I dont mind paying a small fee to run a nice track 2-3 bucks for an all day pass but then its probably not enough to cover the cost of having someone there to collect it lol money is always a hot topic eveyones got a plan.... if the place is hiring I will collect money for a small fee as long as I can run while I collect

FYI I saw the track as we race motorcycles there. At present its a small track with small jumps. More like a kid track.

Was there riding last night and the track is getting better. Need a stand as hard to see back side. Jumps are fun. Not sure of the cost as we paid to ride mx and drove the rc while there.
